Primed and ready to paint!

Took the hive outside yesterday and primed it with KILZ Clean Start 1-Gal. Latex Primer, Sealer and Stain Blocker from Home Depot. It took me just under two hours start to finish to apply 2 coats, paying extra special attention to filling any holes and making sure everything was sealed up well. That will help prevent any moisture from getting into my hive and causing mildew problems later on. I made one silly mistake, though, and had stacked the entire hive (all supers, just like it will look like  when it’s all assembled) and primed it in that position which caused it to dry and stick altogether. It took a little bit of might to get each super un-stuck. I won’t be making the same mistake when I paint it;)
